Looking to find out which motor will work on your bike? Take our quiz to determine if the motor type will fit your bike. Below select the motor that you are interested in. If you don't know which motor you want, please select the "Discover Quiz" to check your bike compatibility with all of our motors.
If you're unsure which motor you want, we will walk you through the steps to complete to check for your bike's compatibility with our motors.
While there is no one size fits all to finding the right kit, this motor will not fit your bike based upon the information you have entered. Try our Mid Drive Motor Quiz or contact us for more information about our kits.
The front fork dropout is the part at the end of your bike's front fork that holds your bicycle wheel to your frame. The Bafang Front Hub Motor Kit only works with Open/Slotted Style Front Fork Dropouts. Note: Many older bikes (that are a decade or older) have 3/8" slots which would be 9.53 mm wide. If this is the case you may need to remove/grind down a small amount (0.5mm) of material from your fork slot so that the opening is 10mm wide.
Watch our team explain in our help video. Please check your bike's Front Fork Dropout type and select the button below for the type which your bike has.
Most wheels have the wheel size measurement imprinted directly on the tire. Watch our team explain wheel sizing in our help video. Please select your wheel size in the drop down menu below and then click the "Submit Size" button.
IMPORTANT! If your bike has a larger diameter bottom bracket, you will need an adaptor in order for our motor to possibly work with your bike.
If your bike does not have a ~35mm standard diameter, then you will need an adapter for our mid-drive motor kits to work with your bike. We recommend visiting your local bike shop to see if there is an available adapter for your specific bottom bracket to reduce it to a standard BSA ~35mm bottom bracket type before completing your purchase. This is not something we sell and are not able to confirm this remotely for your bike.
Using the same template & tool from the previous step, use the Step 2 portion to check your bike's bottom bracket thickness. This tool will allow you to confirm that your bike's bottom bracket shell thickness works with our mid-drive motors. Please watch our team explain how to identify your bike's bottom bracket thickness.
Make the appropriate selection below for which motor works with your bike, based on testing the motor templates with your bike's frame:
Does the motor template work with your bike without any Obstructions?
While there is no one size fits all to finding the right kit, based upon the information you have entered this motor should fit your bike. Please feel free to contact us for more information about our kits.

Please watch our team explain how to select the best battery for your bike & motor.
If your need further assistance determining what motor is right for you please checkout our FAQs page.
IMPORTANT! Please print and cutout the corresponding template to confirm the fitment on your bike before selecting a battery.
Mounting the battery in your bikes triangle is preferable as it will keep the weight better distributed and allow for a better center of gravity. Space for triangle mounts is limited so using a rack mount is also an option.
The video shows how to install one of our rear racks to install your favorite battery on your bike if you find that either space is too limited on your bikes downtube or if you would prefer having the battery located on a rear rack. Our rear rack works with all of the batteries that we sell and provide an additional mounting option.
*This Quiz is meant to be a tool to help you determine the fitment of our kits with your bike. Due to the DIY nature of this ebike conversion kit we are unable to guarantee fitment remotely
