The Bafang 500W Front Hub Kit (FMG020) comes with all the necessary parts to transform almost any bike with an open-slotted front fork into a high-powered electric bike! This geared front hub motor kit is quiet, fast, lightweight, high-performing, hill-climbing, and well-engineered. Because the wheel motor comes pre-built and ready to ride, the Bafang 500W Front Hub Motor Kit is one of the fastest and easiest installations possible.
To make installation super-easy, we design our front hub motors to work with just about all front brake styles, from disk brakes to caliper and V-brakes! All our e-bike kits come standard with replacement mechanical e-brake levers to replace your current mechanical levers. If you have hydraulic brakes or simply prefer to keep your existing brake levers, we also offer optional e-brake sensors.
These aren't your run-of-the-mill thin and cheap tires. This front wheel e-bike kit comes with an ultra-high-performance, puncture-resistant 2.1" MAXXIS pace tire (MSRP $60) to provide peace of mind while you are out there riding! The rim is made with 12-gauge black spokes and is ready for wear and tear.
The Bafang Front Hub Motor offers both throttle and pedal assist power. You can always use the throttle in order to engage the motor if you want to take a break from pedaling! These Front Hub Motors have a surprising amount of torque and are fast as they are designed to be able to go 20+ MPH!
This complete hub motor kit includes 2 types of Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS) options for your installation convenience. The Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS) is a cadence sensor and allows you to choose the power level of motor assistance that you would like while pedaling via the PAS Level setting on the display.
This is the newest Bafang 500W Front Hub Motor with a "rated power" of 500 watts. However, with the included 18-amp controller paired with a 48V battery, it is capable of a maximum power of more than 864 watts.
Our kit includes all of the the necessary hardware and equipment to install our Front Hub Motor on your bike. There are extra add-ons available, however our baseline kit includes many of the parts which other companies piece meal out and charge more for!

I’m a big fan of your company. This is the second bike I’ve converted into an Ebike. My first was a mid drive conversion on my mountain bike. This latest was a front hub for my wife’s beach cruiser. Your tutorial videos are great and super easy to follow. Shipping is fast and all the parts were in the box!
This things a blast! Takes hills pretty good too.
I am very happy with my front hub which gives me all-wheel drive. I ride mostly rough back roads with lots of hills and found the pedal assist did not work well on the hills so I disabled it and only use the throttle for the hills. That way I can conserve the battery when I am pedaling and have better control in slower speed areas. I built the fork heavier with steel dropouts and the extra weight gives better traction. I have not had any spin-outs in 150 miles. My kit is on a Giant Yukon and I usually go 17 miles and use the throttle quite a bit and have never come home with less than 48 volts or 45%. I like being able to use all 24 speeds on my bike but on the faster roads the highest speed is all one needs using the throttle to get started.
any I have a tricycle oldie
